Kimiko Kōno (河野貴美子), Professor at the Faculty of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at Waseda University. She earned her Ph.D. from Waseda University’s Graduate School of Letters, Arts, and Sciences in 2004. Her research focuses on comparative literature between Japan and China, as well as the study of classical texts from both cultures. After serving as a full-time lecturer and associate professor at Waseda University, she has been a professor there since 2012. Her major publications include Nihon Ryōiki to Chūgoku no Denshō (The Nihon Ryōiki and Chinese Traditional Tales, Bensei Publishing, 1996) and the three-volume Nihon “Bun” Gakushi (A New History of Japanese “Letterature,” co-edited and co-authored, Bensei Publishing, 2015–2019).
