Rilla Khaled

Rilla Khaled, an Associate Professor of Computation Arts at Concordia University. She is Co-Director of the Technoculture, Art and Games (TAG) Research Centre and co-chair of the university-wide STRIVE (Standing Together against Racism and Identity-based Violence) task force. Her work focuses on how playful media can improve daily life, and spans establishing foundations for recoverable, materials-based game design research, theorising design and reflection, articulating boundaries for social and ethical uses of AI through design of edge cases, creating speculative prototypes of near-future technologies, designing award-winning learning games, and working with BIPOC communities to materialise inclusive futures.
