Kyungho Sim (沈慶昊), Professor Emeritus at Korea University. He earned his B.A. and M.A. from Seoul National University and his Ph.D. from Kyoto University. He has served as a professor in the Department of Sinographic Literatures at Korea University, where he also served as Director of the Institute for Sinographic Literatures and Philology. His numerous works include Sino-Korean Literature and the Study of the Book of Poetry in the Chosŏn Period (1999), Literatures and Thoughts of the Kanghwa Yangming School (1993–1999), A Biography of Kim Sisŭp (2003), A History of Philology in Traditional Korea (2012), The Aesthetics of Sino-Korean Prose (2013), Inner Journeys: Reading 58 Epitaphs by the Chosŏn Literati (2018), Anp’yŏng (2018), Korean Stone Inscriptions and Epitaphs (2021), and Prose Journeys: 65 Accounts of Mountain Travels by Chosŏn Literati (2022). In translation, his works include The Tale of Kumo Shinwha (2000), The Collection of Yuan Zhonglang (2004), The Essays of Sŏp’o (2010), The Poetry Collection of Yŏyudang (2020), Ch’unhyangjŏn and Ch’unhyangga (2022). He is currently translating the complete works of the famed literatus-monk Kim Sisŭp and writing A History of Sino-Korean Literature and A History of Korean Traditional Logic.
