Michael Stanley-Baker, Assistant Professor of History and Medical Humanities in the School of Humanities & Lee Kong-Chian School of Medicine at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. An historian of Chinese medicine and religion, and a Chinese medical clinician, Dr. Stanley-Baker is editor of the Routledge Handbook of Chinese Medicine, Situating Religion and Medicine Across Asia, and PI of Polyglot Asian Medicine. He specialises in the intersectionality of Chinese medicine, whether among religious healers in the early Chinese empire, or diverse stakeholders across the modern global diaspora. In his role as President of the International Association for the Study of Traditional Asian Medicine (IASTAM), he is developing communication strategies and digital solutions to disseminate scholarship and interconnect the many fields that make up Asian Medicine.
